Redditor jakeinfusino decided to wear a heart rate monitor as he built up the confidence to ask his girlfriend to be his wife. He fed the data through Particular/ Form and used After Effects to create this awesome visualization. Although it took 40 minutes to pop the question and let his heart rest again, this 90 second video shows the highs and lows as he gained the courage to ask that magic question.

Arturo “Bordalo II” uses discarded auto parts, scrap metal, and garbage to create colorful, larger-than-life 3D murals of animals. The animals represent the habitats humans have destroyed in their accumulation and discarding of stuff. He wants to raise the awareness of the way humans are destroying the environment and polluting the Earth. Bordalo II creates animals that have suffered a loss due to destruction by humans.

New Origami Robot Can Fit in The Palm of Your Hand, Walk, Swim and Degrade


If you thought Wall-E was cute, wait til you see this teeny tiny robot by some of the brilliant minds at MIT and TU Munich. At ICRA 2015 in Seattle, a team consisting of Shuhei Miyashita, Steven Guitron, Marvin Ludersdorfer, Cynthis R. Sung, and Daniela Rus presented “An Untethered Miniature Origami Robot that Self-folds, Walks, Swims, and Degrades.” And the tiny bot does even more than that, lifiting twice its mass, moving through objects, and moving things around via magnet. The itty bitty bot can move at speeds of 3 and 4cm/s.
