Mickael Delalande Makes 3D Sketches with Wire

French artist Mickael Delalande uses wire to make sketches that nearly take flight. Looking like he’s drawn contour lines in the air, his work reflects the objects of everyday life in full-scale – from squeezed tubes of toothpaste, to a floppy pair of Converse All-Stars. The sculptures incorporate playful use of light and shadow, tricking us into seeing double in the shapes they cast on the surfaces around them.
